About Metastarter
Metastarter is a small editorial publication about blockchain technology. It exists to explain how these systems work, in careful English, to people who are meeting the subject for the first time and would rather not be sold anything on the way through.
What this publication is
Most writing about blockchain assumes you already know why it matters. It opens somewhere in the middle, borrows vocabulary from three different fields without introducing any of it, and quietly leaves out the parts that are hard to defend.
Metastarter works the other way around. An article starts at the beginning of its subject, defines each term the first time it is used, and stays with one idea until that idea is genuinely clear. Where a claim is contested or still unsettled, the article says so rather than choosing the tidier version.
The writing is deliberately plain. Many of the people who read these articles are reading in a second or third language, and clarity is a courtesy, not a compromise. Short sentences, ordinary words and worked examples do more for understanding than technical vocabulary used for its own sake.
What the articles cover
The subject is blockchain technology in general, not one product, one network or one corner of it. Over time the archive is meant to cover the whole shape of the field.
- The mechanics: blocks, hashes, digital signatures, ledgers and how the pieces fit together.
- Consensus: how a network of strangers agrees on a single shared history, and what the different approaches cost.
- Vocabulary: the words the field uses, where they came from and what they actually mean.
- Key management: what a private key is, what custody means, and why the distinction matters conceptually.
- Limits and misconceptions: the claims that get repeated and do not hold up when you look closely.
- History: how the ideas developed, and which problems each generation of them was trying to solve.
Equally, some subjects are permanently out of scope. There is no market coverage here, no prices, no forecasts, no rankings and no comparisons of one product against another. That is a different kind of publication, and this is not it.
How it is funded
Metastarter has one source of income: a single sponsor placement on each page, sold directly by the publisher. There is no second placement, no advertising network, no affiliate arrangement, no paid placement inside an article and no commission on anything a reader might go on to do.
Sponsors do not see articles before they are published, cannot request changes to them, and have no influence over which subjects are chosen or how they are described. If a sponsor's placement ever sat beside an article that examined its own field critically, the article would be the part that stayed as written.
Nothing on the site is behind a paywall or a login, and no article is reserved for anyone. Everything published is free to read in full, permanently.
Independence and affiliation
Metastarter is an independent publication and speaks only for itself. Metastarter is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, authorised by, partnered with or connected to any company, product, brand, network, protocol, exchange, wallet, foundation or public body mentioned anywhere on this site.
Where an article names a product, it names it because that is the word readers use when they look the subject up. A name in a heading is a description of what the article is about, never a claim of any relationship with the organisation behind it. All trademarks and product names belong to their respective owners.
Metastarter is not a service. It does not operate, host, maintain, support, recover or troubleshoot anything, it holds nothing on anyone's behalf, and it never asks a reader for account details, credentials, recovery information or payment. Any message that appears to come from Metastarter and asks for something of that kind did not come from us.
Who publishes it
Metastarter is published by KARAHAN KREATİF İÇERİK ANONİM ŞİRKETİ, a company registered in İstanbul, Türkiye. The company was incorporated in 2026.
Melda Karahan is the founder, editor and author of every article. The full registered details of the publisher, including its registry numbers and registered office, are set out on the contact page, and the corporate electronic mail address is the only channel for correspondence with the publication.
